There’s a train of thought in the golf world that to be considered a well-rounded pro you have to step out of the comfort zone of home and test your skill across continents and course types. It’s respectful to the game and a way to develop shotmaking skill in all weathers. From his early elite amateur career to his latest pro tournaments, Tom McKibbin has always been an internationalist, and his 2026 season was proof positive of his credentials as a truly global golfer. With stellar performances across the world - from US style parklands to blustery Irish links - he has excelled. Three top-tens in his last five events (T6 Husqvarna British Masters; T5 Amgen Irish Open; T9 DP World India Open) plus two LIV top tens (Mexico and New York) that contributed to Legion XIII’s overall team victory, mean he is perfectly placed to push on when the 2027 season kicks off again in late November. He finished comfortably within the 2026 top 100 cut off for full DP World Tour category membership and is currently 109th in the Official World Golf Ranking. Tom will be on his travels again soon, playing first 2027 season tournaments in Australia, harnessing his current momentum and continuing his global golfing odyssey.
