Champagne corks (French, obviously) were popping late on Sunday when Abbotswood’s youngest player, Maxence Giboudot secured his DP World Tour card by finishing in the top 15 of the Hotel Planner Tour rankings. At just 22 years old, it’s an outstanding achievement for Max, built over the 2026 season with a sub-70 stroke average and some standout mid-season performances including 2nd in the Danish Golf Challenge, losing in a playoff, T3 at the SDC Open in South Africa and T4 on home turf at the Blot Play9 tournament in Pléneuf. As a result of that high-level consistency Max improved on his season-long performance by finishing 56 ranking places higher than last year to bag one of the prized 15 DP World Tour cards at the Hotel Planner Tour Grand Final in Port d'Alcúdia, Mallorca.
